This week just kind of blurred past so I don't have much to say but I'll do my best to remember some things that happened, but one thing that I have realized is the pain is good, whenever I have a couple of hard hours there are pretty good hours that follow. When I have had my roughest times it feels like I'm a square block trying to be pushed through a round hole. On Saturday we went on a mini exchange with the zone leaders and that was really fun because we went to downtown Richmond and there are three companionships of Elders over the downtown branch and they were all there so during our lunch block we all just hung out and that was very fun. I haven't been in a Bible bash until this week but there are more aggressive missionaries that get in bashes often. We also got a text from Elder Filmore (one of the senior missionaries) and asked us to help pick up brand new cars that were a half hour away, so us and two other companions went and drove the car off the lot to the mission office. so I got to spend a half hour by myself in a car with double digit miles on it. when I got in it it had 15 miles on it and when I got out it had 47.

You've been to Chicago? Was it wonderful?
This week was better than last week. We had lots and lots of no's so it wasn't very exciting except for on Tuesday we put our friend Billy for baptism on September 7th so that's hype. We had two friends at church this sunday which is a small number compared to last week we had six. I enjoy Sundays a lot less than at home because the whole time during sacrament meeting we are on guard to help any friends that come to church so I can't just relax. After church we do some finding and the afternoon finding time on Sundays is not very enjoyable because I am in church mode where I just want to lounge in the spirit but we have to go out there and work. We do some more finding in the evening as well and last night I had four people say that they would come to church so that was cool. It also clicked in my head the advice that Elder Bergeson gave me about ditching the book and teaching my way so it is getting better for me.
There was a guy last night that casually told us he has been to Chicago hence the name title of these emails. (If you get it you're cool) ( you still are if you don't but it just adds to your coolness if you do)

One Month Down
On wednesday we had exchanges with the zone leaders, I was with Elder Bergeson. We were on bikes all day and it was pouring all day long. I got soaked. I go very VERY tired. Other than that it was pretty uneventful. On Sunday we did a lot of finding, not much happened. One of the last places we went was Walmart, we were in that parking lot for a while then security came and kicked me out, so I went to my companion to tell him we need to leave but he was talking with someone so i didn't interrupt. I was standing there for a couple minutes when a man came up to me and asked if we had "any extra books". So I said of course we could get him one so I got the car keys from Elder Jeppsen and got a Book of Mormon from the car and gave a basic explanation of what it was. He said he was from Houston and just in the area for work so we referred him to missionaries in his area. This has been the roughest week so far. I miss mountains and music, and I don't like humidity.

Gooooood Mooorniiing Riichmooond
I have had a big change in scenery this last week, on july 31st I woke up at 3:45 in the MTC and got on a bus to the airport. It took all day but we got to Virginia. President Hutchison and crew picked us up from the airport and took us to the mission home.
They fed us brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. They were amazing!! especially compared to the food at the MTC. After we ate we went to a hotel and went to bed, that was the best sleep I've had in weeks, and probably the best I will have for two years to be honest.
On Thursday we went through a little bit of orientation then we got assigned to our areas and trainers. I am Glenn Alan B with the DL Elder Jeppsen from Brigham city Utah of all places!
We went to the apartment and I unpacked a little bit then we went finding. how we do it is we go to busy parking lots and talk to everyone inviting them to church. then if they want to talk to us we find their needs and share our testimony about how the gospel of Jesus Christ will help their lives.
